Our Big Bowl Noodle Soups have been with us since the beginning, and they are still a top seller. Some of the earliest soups are Wonton Noodle and Seafood Noodle, but we've added to the list to modernize and make vegetarian options. You can choose one of ours. Big Bowl Noodle Soups come in two parts: A container of dry ingredients and a container of broth. It's up to you whether or not you want to heap the two containers into one big bowl as we have pictured above. Though if you chose Mai Fun noodles, you may not want to do that, as these get overcooked too easily in the hot broth. What you can do is take a little bite of the dry ingredients and have a sip of broth. It keeps the noodles perfectly al-dente. One of the options for create-your-own is BIG FUN, the noodle you might already know as CHOW FUN, with the wide ribbon noodles, is available as a soup option. These rice noodles will come steamed and are a great if you have problems keeping your noodles in your chopsticks or on your spoon, they are big enough to give you extra grab. Pictured below is the stir-fried version- so you can have it as soup and also have instead of lomein.

Holiday Menu is in the works

Be on the lookout for news about our holiday menu, we are trying something new. Since we had great success with the Lunar New Year Menu, and Christmas orders kicked our a-- last year, we need to make some menu changes for this busy holiday. We will offering a curated coursed dinner, that's full of familiar favorites, and not out-of-reach.  Stay tuned.

Road Construction & Bike Lanes

We thought we were free & clear of road construction, but it crept up on us, and is now next to our restaurant. The closest cross streets 28th street and Nicollet, now has construction cones and it's a little confusing, as the traffic was diverted on Nicollet. 28th Street has a safer protection for bikes, with a new center median dividing the bike lanes from the car lanes. This allows safe passage for those traveling by bike, scooter or wheelchair, and slows down the automobile traffic to a more neighborhood-friendly speed. If you would like to find out more on what Minneapolis is doing to make our streets accessible and useable for all travelers, you can learn about the Whittier Lyndale Bikeway at the Our Streets website. We still have take-out pick up parking spots directly in front of the restaurant, and next to the building in our parking lot.

Covid Update

We are still a take-out only operation, and we don't know if and when we will open up to dine-in. The dining room has been used as dry storage for the past year and the seating area by the front windows is still the plant nursery. Soon: We will have a waiting space indoors for you to pick up your order. Stay tuned for this update.
